THE SECOND HOLE
The second hole at Cambridge is a relatively short par 5. A well placed tee shot will allow big hitters to have a go at the green, while the rest of us can play it as it was meant to be played - from a well elevated fairway down towards a wide, open fairway. Beware of the 3 fairway bunkers that protect the front of the green. If you are unlucky enough to find these, you will be left with a very difficult long bunker shot to a green with out-of-bounds behind it. The green itself is sloped from back to front with a relatively flat chipping area at the front and to the sides..
Tip: If you're a big hitter, this is a perfect opportunity to get a birdie on the card early on. Have a go at the green with your second - even if you're short you'll only have a simple wedge or chip left.
